Idhee SangathiCast: Tabu, Abbas, Raja, Kota Srinivas Rao, Sunil and othersMusic: John P WarkiDirector: Chandra SiddarthaStory
It is hard to believe that Idhe Sangathi is from the same director who made the film Aaa Nalaguru and Madhumasam. There is nothing much in the film, by way of novelty or suspense or even from the side of humor. Even Tabu’s skin show also fails to attract the audience interest. The story seems to be an old story re-written and remade.
Abbas is a crime reporter in a Telugu Daily and Tabu is his beloved wife. Sunil is a photographer with the same daily and Hema is his wife. Tabu and Hema are always dreaming about becoming rich women in the society and think that this will bring them fame and respect along with the money.
Abbas and Sunil go to cover a train accident. Instead of doing their usual duty of covering the whole accident, they start stealing gold ornaments from the dead bodies of the train wreckage. They even manage to steal a couple of suitcases from an AC compartment.
They bring the entire loot to their home. Abbas does not give the jewelry to his wife and the reason is kept secret. When abbas goes to his office, tabu investigates the suitcase and finds diamonds worth 500 crore. She hides them from her husband.
The news about the missing diamonds spreads like a fire and from the Central Prime Minister to the police officer is on the hunt for the diamonds and the culprit who stole them. The diamonds actually belong to Kota Srinivas rao who plays the character of a Prime Minster.
While the wild goose chase is on, every tries to fox each other when the diamonds are traced out.
Meanwhile tabu hides the diamonds and purchases a luxury bungalow and a expensive car with those diamonds. What happens to Tabu in the end and to the diamonds is suspense which must be seen on the big screen. But all ends well at the end.Performances
The entire film revolves around Tabu and her plans and imaginations. She plays a role of a middleclass housewife and also exhibits her assets well in a sexy dream song and also in some scenes. Her bosom seems to be pumped up in every scene she does and will raise the temperatures of her male fans.
Abbas as a crime reporter has performed well and looks apt to the character. Sunil plays a short and sweet character of a photographer. Raja appears in a cameo.
Kota plays the role of a prime minister, but as his role is not carved well lacks some luster at the end. Ms Narayana, Surya, Chalapathi Rao, hema and others are just normal.
The music of the film is just average and Tabu and Abbas are always seen in dream songs. Raja does an item song.
But the film on the whole is very slow paced and there is not much new for the audience to enjoy. The story is predictable and the climax is very dull and the film on the whole is just average which can be seen once.
